movement is scientific, physical, and spiritual

I Got Your Back!
The spine consists of 33 bones (vertebrae) from the cervical to the sacrum. Each vertebrae is separated by cartilage (intervertebral discs). The spine houses the pathway for vital information to get from the brain, to the body, and back. Collectively, this forms the central nervous system. When you pick up a glass of water or kick a ball, your nervous system is working faster than the blink of an eye to successfully communicate that you can, in fact, accomplish the task. These intricate movements are the building blocks for everything you do.
It’s the little things
If we take a second to look around us, we’ll see, feel, and experience movement in a multitude of ways; the breeze in the air, the sound of our neighbor, the snail moving across the pavement. Its all movement.
Through my practice, I make you aware of the power you already possess to achieve your best physical, mental, and spiritual self.
Better posture, stress relief, strength and movement efficiency are just the visible side effects.
Knowledge of Self
“While studying at Juilliard, I injured my ankle while partnering in a rehearsal. Because I couldn’t move how I wanted to move, it made me aware of the abundance of movement around me. While maintaining a growth mindset, movement was the key no matter how simple or complex I drew it out.
I soon found out I was hyper-mobile. That meant I had to know my limits to avoid injury and overuse if I was to sustain a career. I dove in. As an artist, you don’t eat without discipline. I applied this approach to my research and coursework in kinesiology. My injury turned out to be more of a blessing than anything. I bounced back better.
I say all of this to say, healing isn’t linear. In order to achieve your desired outcome, your healing may not look the way you expect. With fitness there can be barriers to entry like mobility, strength, endurance, and self-trust”.
Overcoming them is the mission.
